On March 24, 2024, my daughter Megan took her last breath — not by accident, but because someone made a choice that cost her everything. This also was NOT the first time he tried to kill her.
Just before, on March 23, her boyfriend Tyler spent the day high on fentanyl at a house already known for multiple overdoses.
Tyler knew exactly what he was taking. And he still brought those fentanyl pills home to Megan.
Megan was only 26. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister, a light in our lives. And now her little girl, Laken, is growing up without her mama. She deserves answers.
Megan had lupus. She lived in pain every day, and no doctor would prescribe her proper medication. Tyler told me himself that she thought it was a Percocet — that’s what he told her it was. But it wasn’t.
Megan was only 4’10”, fragile, and trusting.
And that pill killed her.
By the morning of March 25, Megan was unresponsive. Instead of calling 911, Tyler told me he went out to get more Narcan. He waited. 20 to 30 minutes passed — time that could have saved her life if he’d just called for help.
Since her death, I’ve been told Tyler said to others that he “put her out of her misery.”
Let that sink in.
This man either deliberately killed my daughter or allowed her to die through reckless, calculated indifference. But either way — he is responsible. And yet… no investigation. No justice. No one held accountable.
I’ve called the Dekalb County Police, I’ve begged the Medical Examiner. Everyone keeps passing the buck. No one will help me.
But maybe you can.
Megan was only 26. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister, a light in our lives. And now her little girl, Laken, is growing up without her mama. She deserves answers. We all do. I will never stop fighting for Megan. Please help me fight.
I’m asking — begging — every single one of you to call and demand justice for Megan.
If you know anything, if you witnessed anything, if you knew these people — please speak up.
Call the Dekalb County Police Department. Call the Medical Examiner’s Office. Call me directly.
